The MAD 2015 Startup Bootcamp is a 2-day Bootcamp for startups on “Fundamentals in Starting a Business Venture”. The bootcamp is a good “kickstarter” that will help entrepreneurs and entrepreneur wannabes equip themselves with tools and knowledge to start up their ventures. “Startups must be strong in the fundamentals of starting a business venture in order to survive in a highly difficult and challenging environment”, said Andrew Wong, MAD Incubator’s CEO. With a 95% success rate in nurturing new startups, this bootcamp provides the impetus for new entrepreneurs to be grounded with strong business fundamentals before they embark on their entrepreneur journey.
The first day Bootcamp, “Getting Started”, will be held every first week of the month in 2015, followed by the second day Bootcamp, “Scaling Up”, which will be held every last week of the month. In between, participants will be asked to complete some homework with the help of MAD’s incubator managers at the Startup Hub. The two weeks lull is to allow participants to practice what they have learned in Day 1, which will then prepare them well for the Day 2 bootcamp.
Each bootcamp are highly hands-on with participants working on their intended business idea. MAD Incubator is on a mission to turn ideas into currencies; and by holding these bootcamps on a monthly basis throughout 2015, MAD will be able to help as many new entrepreneurs as possible. New entrepreneurs will be able to choose which bootcamp they would like to attend knowing that they will not miss any of the essentials in the bootcamp.
The Bootcamp will rotate between MAD’s Startup Hubs – Sunway Mentari, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya (PjH) and Kota Kinabalu; and it will be offered to the respective Hubs’ eco-systems. Andrew Wong, MAD’s CEO, takes a personal interest in this program and will be personally conducting this bootcamp with Hub managers as facilitators. “We must first imbibe our new entrepreneurs with the MAD DNA and it is with this MAD DNA which will carry them through their entrepreneur journey.” said Andrew.
The Bootcamp ticket is priced at RM100/pax, which is applicable only for entrepreneurs or entrepreneur wannabes who have not been to any of MAD’s workshops or training. Current existing incubatees, Hub tenants and MAD Startup Kit subscribers can attend for free.”Sorry, entrepreneurs who have been to MAD’s training or workshops will be charged at RM399/pax” said Andrew. Priority is for new entrepreneurs since our intention is to engage new entrepreneurs who have never heard of MAD.
